Primark makes their mark with an adaptive clothing range

Fashion should be for everyone. But, this hasn’t been the case. As until now disabled people have struggled to find the right clothes, and when they do, they’re usually more expensive. Now, high street favourite Primark is proudly leading the way with the launch of its 2025 adaptive fashion collection. This follows on from the success of their adaptive lingerie range launched in January 2024 and shows their ongoing commitment towards inclusion as they level the playing field.

No more compromising on style, comfort or price

This exciting new range of clothing has been designed in collaboration with award-winning adaptive fashion designer and disability advocate, Victoria Jenkins. As the founder of adaptive fashion brand Unhidden, she combines over 16 years in the fashion industry with her experiences of living with disability.

The collection itself features an impressive 49 items of menswear and womenswear. With everything from trench coats to t-shirts and jeans to jumpers, it offers adaptive clothing that is trendy, flattering and empowering. All while being functional as items include adaptive features like magnetic zippers, snap fastenings and waist loops. There are also hidden openings for tube, stoma, or catheter access, ensuring that practicality meets everyday fashion.

What makes this range even more attractive is the price! Primark is known for its great value for money, and this range is no exception. Finally, disabled shoppers can find the right clothes at the right price.

Find your fit

Primark’s fantastic new adaptive fashion collection was developed with direct input from disabled people through focus groups and fit sessions. The result ensures there’s something to suit every need as well as every occasion, with everything from everyday essentials to stylish outerwear. Here are some of the highlights to look out for on your next shopping trip:

  • Women’s Trench Coat (£40, seated style £30)

A classic wardrobe staple with magnetic-fastening pockets, zip sleeves, and an adjustable popper hem. The seated version is cropped for wheelchair users.

  • Men’s Straight Leg Jeans (£14 with seated style available)

Magnetic button closures, waistband pulls and tube-access pockets make these a practical yet stylish choice. The seated option has a longer back hem, side zip and ankle-cut leg.

  • Women’s Ribbed Nightwear Set (£12 – £14)

Designed for comfort, these include poppers on the sleeves and legs, tube-access pockets and waistband loops to make dressing easier.

  • Men’s Padded Gilet (£12)

A lightweight, stylish black gilet, featuring a magnetic zip, large pockets for medical devices and tube access.

  • Woman’s V-Neck Knitted Jumper (£24 with seated style available)

With flexibility not normally associated with knitwear, this sage green jumper has a double-ended zip sleeve and thumb holes, while the seated version has a shorter hem at the front.

Available at a store near you!

Having an adaptive range is great, but if it’s not available near you, it’s little or no use. Once again, Primark has come up trumps. The full collection is available in 31 stores nationwide. But don’t worry if there isn’t a local one, they are also offering Click & Collect in 113 stores across the UK. In addition, staff will be on hand to provide assistance where needed.

We’re hoping that Primark’s groundbreaking new adaptive fashion range will open the floodgates with more retailers following their lead. Until then, we hope you find their new collection the perfect fit for you.
