Fish Insurance to extend product range with VitalityLife insurance products
Specialist disability insurer, Fish Insurance, will be expanding its product lines as it looks to enhance its offering to customers.
Fish will now be offering life and serious illness insurance to its 80,000 strong customer base through fast-growing life insurer VitalityLife.
According to The Association of British Insurers’ (ABI) UK Insurance Key Facts document published in September last year, approximately 7 million UK households paid into a life insurance product, which includes whole of life assurance, term life assurance and income protection policies.
John Garrard, managing director at Fish Insurance, said: “It’s quite concerning to think that just over 10 per cent of the UK population has adequate life insurance, particularly when it is relatively affordable and provides financial security should the worst happen.
“This is one of the reasons we’re now extending our proposition to include life insurance products and we hope our customers take advantage of cover that is affordable even when living with a pre-existing medical condition or disability.”
Fish Insurance will be initially offering decreasing and level term assurance and serious illness cover and is looking to add additional lines later next year.
Diane Caplehorn, head of partnerships at Fish Insurance added: “We decided to work with VitalityLife as we saw a product that offered greater value to customers. Its unique approach to the general wellbeing of customers and helping them live a healthier lifestyle, combined with its comprehensive cover of more medical conditions than other insurers, was a perfect fit with our current range.”
